As we move forward into another busy season, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for the work you do every day to protect public health and safety. Whether you are in the field conducting inspections, reviewing plans, or supporting our industry through education and administration, your efforts make a real and lasting difference in our communities.

The plumbing and mechanical trades continue to evolve. New technologies, materials, and energy systems are becoming more common, and with that comes new challenges for inspectors and officials. Staying informed, sharing knowledge, and maintaining consistent enforcement of adopted codes is more important than ever. UAPMO exists to support you in that effort—through training opportunities, code development, and a strong professional network.

One of the greatest strengths of UAPMO is its membership. The experience and professionalism represented within this organization helps ensure that codes are applied fairly, safely, and uniformly across our jurisdictions. I encourage everyone to stay engaged: attend meetings, participate in training, and share lessons learned from the field. These conversations help all of us do our jobs better.

As President, I am proud to represent an organization made up of dedicated professionals who care deeply about their work and the people they serve. Thank you for your continued commitment to UAPMO and to the high standards that define our profession.

Stay safe, stay engaged, and I look forward to working with you in the months ahead.

Respectfully,

Thomas Butz
President, UAPMO
